A season that lasted for quite some time has finally come to its end.
Yes, an end when everything seems to be crumbling right before our eyes — plans, timelines, bucket lists.
Yet endings are also beautiful. It makes you anticipate what comes next after you take those brave steps towards another door.
Another chapter.
It hit me when I remembered how excited I was in high school when I finish my Harry Potter installments book by book, chapters after chapters. I cannot wait to go past the current to see what happens next. That was when I was young.
When I became older and adulting hit me, I never realized up until now that it was never the same. The once eager me that wanted to see the next chapter seemed to got comfortable in staying in my place. My I-cannot-wait turned into let-me-check-if-it-is-safe and made me overstay in chapters that took me just seconds when I was younger.
So this time another chapter ending does not scare me anymore. When everything’s crumbling before our eyes, couldn’t this be also a time to assess which chapter you are in?
And in this chapter ending, I was reminded a couple of times already in this pandemic:
“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jeremiah 29:11
When it is the powerful God Himself who makes plans, they are fail-proof. Do not be anxious and do not stall. When it is time to move forward, listen and see how His plan unfolds in the next chapter. So when a chapter ends, be sure that the Author just makes it more exciting.
The best is yet to come, my dear.
Thank you, next!
